For more than 30 years\, the Smyrna team has been assembling quality\, award-winning cars\, trucks\, crossovers and SUVs. The plant has grown significantly and transformed from a domestic manufacturer to a global manufacturer. \nWe will have lunch together at Legends Steakhouse at 11:00 a.m.\, and following the lunch\, we will depart for Nissan to arrive at approximately 12:40 p.m. for the tour\, which begins promptly at 1:00 p.m. The tour should last 60 to 90 minutes. The program provides a broad background and hands-on experience in many areas including manufacturing processes\, automated manufacturing\, computer-aided design and manufacturing\, fixture and tooling design. Lean production principles\, project management\, engineering economic analysis and communication skills are also important parts of this program. \nThe Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology curriculum is built upon STEM technical-managerial education. The department strives to keep the curriculum up-to-date by incorporating new technological developments as they occur. The curriculum encompasses courses in manufacturing engineering technology\, industrial engineering technology\, industrial automation and business management.
