Together with Nissan, SME 43 held the 6th annual Manufacturing Innovation Summit (NMIS) Oct 11 & 12 at the Nissan TCAT in Smyrna, TN, and celebrated Manufacturing Month in style with a golf scamble on Friday the 13th at Smyrna Golf.

NMIS featured 50 exhibitors representing innovative solutions from robotics and automation to virtual technologies and training. Amy Seymour, Director of Global Operations at Interactive Training Systems, Inc. kicked off the event with a keynote address focused on Sustainable Innovation, with a packed house on hand. Attendees ranging from local businesses, students in manufacturing, and Nissan employees from multiple facilities spent time on the floor with leading suppliers, as well as in multiple breakout sessions over the two-day event.

Special thanks to SME 43 volunteers, the Nissan Digital Acceleration Team, Nissan volunteers, Rachel Hall of Nissan, and Perry Hytken who masterfully orchestrated another amazing golf outing for us.
